Blog by Scott Hutchinson
Calling all music lovers, sports fans and fun-loving fest-goers! Summertime is finally here in Southwest Ohio, and there's no better place to celebrate this season of fun, warmth and excitement than Warren County! Here are just a handful of the awesome events and festivals awaiting adventurers this summer in Ohio's Largest Playground!
Lebanon Blues Festival
A summertime staple for Warren County fest-goers, the annual Lebanon Blues Festival brings local and national blues acts, old-timey car and motorcycle shows and a delicious array of food and beverage vendors to the charming streets of Historic Downtown Lebanon.
Lebanon Country Music Festival
Lebanon is also home to the Lebanon Country Music Festival– a summertime celebration which draws more than 10,000 strong to Downtown Lebanon for music, dancing, pie eating contests, mechanical bull riding, and more down-home fun.
Valley Vineyards Wine & Beer Festival
The second largest vineyard in the State of Ohio, and a multi-time international award winner, Valley Vineyards Winery & Brewery certainly knows a thing or two about producing amazing wines and micro-brews. It just so happens they also know how to throw quite a get-together! Held each year in early June, the vineyard's annual wine & beer festival features live music, hot air balloon rides, delicious food from local eateries and - of course - plenty of Valley Vineyards' world-renowned wine and beer.
Bellwether Music Festival
One of the hottest new additions to the summertime music circuit, Bellwether Music Festival brings an impressive collection of today's most popular alternative artists to Renaissance Park (perhaps better known as the grounds of the Ohio Renaissance Festival) for a weekend full of unforgettable performances and camping under the stars.
Celtic Fest Ohio
Also held at Renaissance Park each year, Celtic Fest Ohio invites visitors to break out their kilts - and their dance moves - for a three-day, bagpipe-blasting celebration of Irish-inspired music, art, food and culture.
Western & Southern Open
Held each August at Warren County’s very own Lindner Family Tennis Center, the Western & Southern Open is the United States’ oldest professional tennis tournament still played in its original city, and one of the most prestigious ATP and WTA events in the world. Just one stop ahead of New York’s U.S. Open on the annual professional circuit, this Warren County wonder routinely brings fans face-to-face with Roger Federer, Serena Williams and all of the biggest, brightest stars in the game!
