Blog by Stacha Yundt

July isn't just about fireworks, hot dogs and Red, White & Blue...it's also National Ice Cream Month and there are few sweeter spots to celebrate than right here in Warren County!

Wondering where to head for a cup or cone of your favorite flavor in Ohio's Largest Playground? Here's the scoop on just a handful of Warren County's many awesome ice cream options.

K&W Drive-In
While this longtime Springboro favorite may be best known for its tasty burgers and fries, it's also where many Warren County locals go for their summer soft-serve fix. Grab a cone, snag a seat at a picnic table, and soak in the sights and sounds of this classic Southwest Ohio drive-in!

Whit's Frozen Custard
Anyone who’s visited Whit’s Frozen Custard in charming Downtown Lebanon wouldn’t be surprised to learn this neighborhood staple is a multi-time winner of the "Best Sweet Treat" category in the annual Best of Warren County Awards. Featuring a new flavor of the day every day (yes...every single day) Whit's is well worth visiting time and time again throughout Ohio's steamy summer months.

Whipty-Do in Maineville | Warren County, Ohio

Whipty-Do!
Whipty-Do in Maineville first launched in 2009 with one simple goal in mind: to serve up delicious ice cream. One of the most popular picks at Whipty-Do is its famous blue ice cream, but don’t sleep on their signature Whipty-Whirls either! Featuring ice cream blended with candy or syrup, these creative frozen confections are sure to keep you coming back for more. Pssst...you didn’t hear it from us, but rumor has it there’s a Whipty-Whirl secret menu!

Mr. Frosty
A summertime standby for more than 50 years, Franklin's Mr. Frosty serves up everything from hot dogs and tacos to milkshakes, cones, banana boats and more. Get a cup or cone of your favorite flavor, then take a summertime stroll through scenic downtown Franklin - known as the City of Murals!

Cincy Sammys
Scrumptious homemade cookies meet delicious, flavorful ice cream at Cincy Sammys, one of the hottest (or, uhhh...coldest) new additions to Warren County's ice cream scene. Sink your teeth into one of their mouthwatering ice cream sandwiches — the brain freeze is worth it, we promise! An ideal spot for dog lovers too, Cincy Sammys' owners never misses an opportunity to brag about their “Founding Pups” and have even named a few menu items after their beloved pooches. Not a fan of ice cream sandwiches? Not to worry! You can still enjoy a classic cone, float, shake or sundae.

Miranda's Ice Cream Shop of Morrow | Warren County, Ohio

Miranda’s Ice Cream Shop of Morrow
This Morrow, Ohio gem earned its spot on the Ohio Ice Cream Trail for a reason—their ice cream is made right here in the Buckeye State, using local ingredients and lots of love. Miranda’s is located in what used to be a bank, but thankfully they don’t keep their flavors locked in the vault (no, really...there’s a vault!).
