Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Parade and Ceremony

Welcome Home and Thank You Vietnam Veterans! On Saturday, April 5, the City of Mason in partnership with the American Legion Post 194 and the VFW Post 9622 is encouraging the Mason community to come together to honor the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War. 2025 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War and this event provides an opportunity to pay tribute and thank the veterans who served. Join us in expressing gratitude, respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made by these veterans to protect our freedoms. We will honor Vietnam Veterans with welcome home parade and ceremony on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Mason Municipal Campus.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Community members are encouraged to gather along Lakeside Drive from Mason Montgomery Road to the front of the Municipal Center. The parade begins at Mason Intermediate School travels to Lakeside Drive and will end at the entrance to the Municipal Center. A ceremony will begin immediately following the parade inside Mason Municipal Center at 6000 Mason Montgomery Road. The ceremony is anticipated to begin at approximately 10:30 a.m.
