Summer Festivals Bring Music, Food And Fun To Warren County 

MASON, OH - June 6, 2013 - New and returning events include music, dancing and jousting in a diverse lineup of festivals hosted in Warren County this summer.

"Warren County hosts some spectacular festivals, from music and dancing in the streets of Lebanon to eating turkey legs at the Renaissance Festival," said Phillip S. Smith, President & CEO of the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau. "These festivals are affordable, and often free. The whole family can join the fun without busting the budget. They're just one of many reasons to visit Warren County."

Lebanon Country Music Festival, June 8The first annual Lebanon Country Music Festival takes place on June 8 from 11 am to 11 pm in downtown Lebanon, Ohio. The newest addition to Lebanon's summer street festivals will feature local and regional bands, food, drinks and dancing. Admission is free. Fort Ancient Celebration, June 8-9The 23rd Annual Fort Ancient Celebration is June 8 from 11 am to 7 pm and June 9 from 11 am to 6 pm at Fort Ancient in Oregonia, Ohio. This Native American-themed educational event features native flute music and drumming and up to 100 dancers in full regalia. Demonstrations by silversmiths and dream-catcher workshops will be available and storytelling will be featured throughout the celebration. Admission pricing varies. Lebanon Blues Festival, Aug. 3Listen to local and regional bands on the streets of historic Lebanon on August 3. This year's festival features live music from 11 am to 11 pm, as well as a classic car show with more than 150 classic automobiles including hot rods and roadsters. Ohio Renaissance Festival, Aug. 31 - Oct. 20 (weekends)The Ohio Renaissance Festival returns Labor Day weekend in Warren County. The Festival is held in a 30-acre permanent village that has been authentically and historically re-created in the flavor of 16th century England. It transports visitors back in time to meet Queen Elizabeth I, knights in shining armor, swordfighters, jesters, and more. Led by World Champion jouster Shane Adams, the Knights of Valour do battle in three Jousting Tournaments each festival day. The festival features 150 costumed characters, 135 shops featuring unique handmade items, 12 stages of continuous entertainment, rides, giant turkey legs, stews and additional food and beverage options. The festival runs from 10 am to 6:30 pm during weekends in Harveysburg, Ohio. Each weekend has a theme, including Irish Fest weekend, Pirates weekend, Oktoberfest weekend, and more.
