MASON, OH - October 28, 2013 - The Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) received four RUBY Awards for excellence in marketing from the Ohio Tourism Association (OTA).
"We are thrilled to have been recognized for our marketing efforts by the OTA," said Phillip S. Smith, President & CEO of the Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB). "Tourism is the number one industry in Warren County, and our marketing plan always is developed with one goal in mind -- to promote overnight visits to Warren County, Ohio's Largest Playground."
The WCCVB received first-place RUBY Awards in the following categories:
- Guide/Planner for the 2013 Warren County Visitors Guide

The WCCVB also earned two RUBY Citation of Excellence Awards in the following categories:

The WCCVB's Annual Report also was a finalist in the Delegate's Choice category.
The OTA held its annual RUBY Awards Luncheon on October 17 during the annual Ohio Conference on Tourism. The WCCVB competed in the "above $750,000" budget category; other finalists for awards in that category included the CVBs for Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati, and other travel and tourism organizations.
According to OTA, "RUBY" stands for Recognizing Uncommon Brilliance in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Participants are recognized for outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations efforts. The RUBY Awards competition is open to members of the Ohio Travel Association as well as non-members and travel and tourism entities within Ohio. For this year's awards, nearly 160 entries were received in 16 categories. The RUBY awards were judged by four independent marketing experts.
