Warren County CVB Receives 7 Awards At State Tourism Conference 

SPRINGFIELD, OH (October 16, 2014) – The Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) received seven awards for excellence in destination marketing at the Ohio Travel Association's (OTA) 2014 Ohio Conference on Tourism.

"The RUBY Awards are always a terrific honor," said Phillip S. Smith, President & CEO of the WCCVB. "Our team works incredibly hard all year long to turn out the most creative and innovative marketing material we can, and awards like these reinforce the fact that our efforts to promote Warren County have been well-received."

The RUBY Awards, which stand for Recognizing Uncommon Brilliance in the Travel and Tourism Industry, serve to highlight outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations efforts made within the travel industry by both OTA members and non-member travel and tourism entities based within the state of Ohio. This year's awards received a record 193 entries throughout 16 award categories.

The WCCVB was recognized for both its web site and mobile web site (OhiosLargestPlayground.com), as well as its 2014 Warren County Visitors Guide, 2013 Annual Report, Ohio's Largest Playground promotional rack card, and Ohio Renaissance Festival social media campaign. The bureau's Grown-up Getaway marketing campaign earned an additional Certificate of Achievement.

The WCCVB was also recognized by the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (OACVB) in September, taking home Middy Awards for its radio advertisements, promotional rack card, and local awareness-building campaign.
