Warren County to Host Multiple National Youth Sports Tournaments
MASON, OH - May 21, 2013 - Four national girls' youth basketball tournaments will take place in Warren County, Ohio this summer, beginning with the Midwest Showdown on May 24.
The GBA Girls Basketball Nationals, the U.S. Junior Nationals and the AAU Girls Basketball Nationals will also be played in Warren County at a variety of facilities. These four tournaments alone will attract players and their families from as many as 23 states and are expected to produce an estimated $13.6 million in economic impact for the county. Warren County will host a total of 18 girls' youth basketball tournaments in 2013.

This year the Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) expects to host a total 82 sporting events, which are expected to produce more than 60,000 room nights in local hotels. Last year it hosted 60 events, accounting for more than 53,000 room nights and more than $38 million in economic impact.
"We strive to build partnerships with these youth sports organizations, and show them that Warren County is a terrific destination for their tournaments," said Ben Huffman, WCCVB Director of Sports Marketing. "We have top-notch indoor and outdoor facilities, affordable quality hotels, and plenty for the players and their families to do during down time. We do want them to enjoy all the family fun that Warren County has to offer while they are here."
